Ramya Reddy is a visual storyteller, photographer, and entrepreneur with a practice rooted in narrative, place, and community. Her book, Soul of the Nilgiris: A Journey Through the Mountains (2018) resulted from a nine-year immersion into the landscapes and indigenous cultures of the Nilgiris, one of India’s most fragile biospheres. Each copy of the book features a spine hand-embroidered by Toda artisans, reflecting her close collaboration with the community. Her work blends art, activism, and storytelling, celebrating traditional craft and fostering a deeper, more mindful engagement with culture, place, and the pace of life.
