Rahul Pandita is a journalist known for his reporting from war-torn areas. Our Friends in Good Houses (2025) is his debut novel. He is also the author of Hello, Bastar: The Untold Story of India’s Maoist Movement (2011), Our Moon Has Blood Clots: A Memoir of a Lost Home in Kashmir (2013), The Lover Boy of Bahawalpur (2021), and the co-author of The Absent State (2010). He was awarded the International Red Cross Award for conflict reporting in 2010. He is a Yale World Fellow and also the recipient of the New India Foundation Fellowship.
