Pranav Johri is a multidrug-resistant infection survivor. After struggling with his MDR infection and multiple failed antibiotic treatments, he found a successful treatment in the form of phage therapy for his infection. His experience led him to found Vitalis Phage Therapy, an initiative with the mission of spreading awareness of the problem of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and of phage therapy as a solution to the problem. In its 7 years of existence, Vitalis Phage Therapy has enabled phage therapy treatments for over 320 patients in India suffering from multidrug and extensively drug-resistant infections.
