Arnab Barik is a neuroscientist at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, whose research focuses on the neural circuit mechanisms underlying pain, itch, stress, and affective behaviors. A central theme of his work is understanding how neuromodulatory systems, including serotonergic and dopaminergic pathways, shape sensory and motivational states in health and disease.
