Jai Undurti is a freelance journalist who writes on travel and books for leading Indian publications.  His WW1-themed graphic novel Die Unterirdischen Städte, with artist Fabian Stoltz, was published in 2019.  Along with artist Harsho, he is now working on Lovecraft in India, set in 1930s Calcutta and featuring an occult narrative. He also developed “Every City is a Story”—a city-centric graphic storytelling initiative encompassing various cities in India. The project began as an oral history initiative in the Old City of Hyderabad and encompassed archival research, photography, and lots of impromptu conversations with passers-by in Irani cafes.
