Sayan Basu is the Prof. D. Balasubramanian Chair of Eye Research and serves as the Director of both the Prof. Brien Holden Eye Research Centre (BHERC) and the Centre for Ocular Regeneration (CORE) at the L V Prasad Eye Institute. Clinician-scientist and a key opinion leader in corneal and ocular surface disorders, he has significantly contributed to advancements in regenerative medicine and translational research. His research focuses on scarless corneal wound healing through innovations in stem cells, biomaterials, and 3D bioprinting. His ability to tackle intricate medical and scientific challenges with innovative solutions is widely regarded. He has published over 260 peer-reviewed articles in international scientific journals.
