Tanay pursued a bachelor’s in architecture, and after a brief career, he ventured into communication design at IDC, IIT Bombay, where he graduated with a gold medal. He established one of India’s largest design studios with over 120 designers, and in 2016, his firm was acquired by Dentsu International, a Japanese advertising powerhouse. Despite his entrepreneurial success, he felt constrained by corporate structures and returned to his artistic roots. While architecture intrigued him with its historical depth, capturing moments on canvas gave him joy. Watercolour became his preferred medium, and as an established watercolourist, he has exhibited his works both in India and abroad.
